A Free Fall Workshop Series for Gardeners
Syracuse Grows and Cornell Cooperative Extension of Onondaga County are teaming up to provide a free workshop series for gardeners! Details are:
September 14th, 2011, 5:30 – 7:30 pm: Building Raised Beds
In this workshop participants will learn to build raised beds with lumber as well as with Filtrexx Garden Soxx, an innovative urban gardening solution. The workshop will be held at the Southwest Community Farm, 100 Bellevue Avenue, Syracuse NY 13202. Please bring a lawn chair, refreshments will be provided.

September 19th, 2011, 5:30 – 7:30 pm: Preserving the Garden Harvest — Canning
Come learn the proper food safety techniques and equipment needed to preserve your garden harvest and enjoy the bounty all year long. Kathy Dischner, of CCE Onondaga, will present and all participants will leave with a jar of freshly prepared veggies. Pre-registration is required.
