Dairy Robotics, Grazeway and Windmill Farm Tour

Cornell Cooperative Extension of Onondaga County (CCE) will be hosting a Dairy Robotics, Graze Way System and Windmill tour at the Trinder Farm in Fabius, NY. Start time is 10 am and will include a few different tours of the farm. Punctuality is very appreciated to accommodate the various farm tours. Trinder Farms is a certified organic dairy farm in Fabius, NY that is milking 120 head of Holstein cows with 2 robotic milkers. They also utilize a Graze Way system in their intensive dairy grazing system. There are only 3 dairies in New York State that are implementing both systems. The farm is also utilizing wind energy with an onsite windmill. Join us for the opportunity to see the robotics, grazing and windmill systems in full swing. Bear right off the ramp and continue on Rt. 20 east into the hamlet of Pompey. At the traffic light, turn right onto Rt. 91. The farm will be approx. 1 mile south on your left side. From 81 north, take the LaFayette exit. Bear right off the exit. At the light in LaFayette turn left onto Rt. 20 east. Continue on Rt. 20 east until the traffic light in the hamlet of Pompey. Rt. Right onto Rt. 91 south. Travel approx. mile. The farm will be on your left. From the east and west: Take Rt. 20 to the hamlet of Pompey. Turn south onto Rt. 91. Travel approximately 1 mile and the farm will be on the left.
